Bruce Thomas is a thirty-five year resident of Moorpark. All three of his adult children are MHS graduates and he has six grandchildren currently attending Moorpark Schools.

His civic involvement includes serving ten years as a member of the Moorpark School Board, as well as, leadership roles with the Moorpark American Legion, Boys and Girls Club, and the Rotary Club of Moorpark. Bruce’s goal is to assist the MEF in its role of enhancing the educational experiences for all Moorpark Students.

He obtained a BA in Political Science from California Lutheran University (CLU) and an MA in Economics from Californian State University Northridge. Bruce has taught economics for University of Maryland Extension and CLU. Professionally, Bruce is a retired U.S Marine Corps veteran with a second career as a Registered Investment Advisor .
